Emergency supplies pouch

So here is a useful little pouch to store some essentials in your handbag.  I have put a few cotton buds, a couple of cosmetic pads and a mini nail file into a little bag and in the second an emergency sewing kit with thread, a needle and a couple of buttons.  I keep one of these in my car and another in my handbag and in my overnight bag, so I always have some essentials to hand!

It is a very simple quick and easy project, but one that I find very useful and can also be added to beauty bags for hen night gift bags.

To start  you will need a 9 1/2 x 2 inch piece of cardstock.  I have used Rich Razzleberry.

Score the long side at 3, 3 1/2, 6 1/2 and 7 inches.

Cut a piece of whisper white card 2 3/8 x 2 3/8 and a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches. Layer up and attach to the smallest flap.

Stamp and punch a sentiment for the front and layer up using dimensionals.

Attach a glue dot to a neodymium magnet ( these are really thin strong magnets available on eBay) and glue to a piece of card candy (the magnets are so strong that they need card between to enable them to open and close without pulling off the card!) and place in the inside centre of the decorated flap.  Do the same to a second magnet and fold up to position. When you are happy with the position, press firmly to hold in place.

Use the word window punch to punch a slot in the long tab (push all the way in for the first) and then pull out a little way to punch a second.

Fold up and use dimensionals at the top to hold the flap in place.  Add your essentials and close up!
