Sunday Scoring Delightful Daisy Corner Pop Down Card

Well I have to admit to not knowing what this card fold is called, I am sure I have seen one somewhere but haven’t got it on my Pinterest Board, so if anyone knows its proper name or have a link to a creator, I would be happy to credit.  I have called it my corner pop down as does just that!  I think I might attach a small magnet or even a penny on the underside to help it lie flat once open, although I quite like the tilt…or maybe that’s just my lack of balance!

Anyway the measurements are easy on this one

20 x 20 cm (8 x 8 inches)

Score on two sides at 10 cm (4 inches) and cut from the bottom up to the middle

With the cut at the bottom score diagonally from the centre to the bottom right corner

Attach a panel of DSP 9.5 x 9.5 (3 3/4 x 3 3/4) to the front and die cut a circle

Use two circle dies to create a frame for the aperture

Whisper White for the back 9.5 x 9.5 (3 3/4 x 3 3/4) and the same size of DSP for the base

I stamped and die cut three daisies to make my Gerberas and offset them when layering up.  Finishing with the faceted gems in the centre (or flies eyes!)

NOTE

following a question…. it is worth saying that I use a large BigShot which takes the 8 inch width, however if you are using a standard Big Shot there is a way around this…

Gut the front section of the card leaving a 1.5 cm border

Cut two pieces of DSP 9.5 x 9.5 and put them back to back and die cut the circle aperture

These can then be layered over the gutted section one on the front and one on the reverse and the two layers of DSP will give sufficient stability for the frame

Crafty hugs
